About the Project:
Kazuri was set up over 30 years ago and now employs over 300 local women in the village of Karen, a few miles outside of Nairobi in Kenya. The women are given free transport to and from work, and a few of them make beads from home as well. "Working at Kazuri has enabled me to raise my children" says Elizabeth Matendechero, a single mother who has worked at the factory for a record 32 years!
